The purpose of the club is to further the education of and educational opportunities for those students interested in broadcasting. This will be pursued by such means as creation and operation of student broadcast media, as well as sponsorship of meetings that will promote the educational interchange among members and broadcast industry professionals.
PAWS TV 3 is a cooperative effort between the new Broadcasting Club at UWM and I&MT. Tune to PAWS TV 3 for information on campus events and great student-produced programming like 'Student Showcase', 'Panther Pause', and 'Panther Prowl'.
Our "ON AIR" goals:
- Developing ONgoing weekly studio-based news and sports television programs, using the I&MT studio as a learning laboratory for all interested club members.
- Achieving a high profile on campus through our program production, demonstrating to administrators and student government leaders the importance of student broadcast media.
- Involving each and every club member in as many aspects of the club as possible, making sure each member gets some type of media production experience to enhance their broadcasting interest and education.
- Researching and implementing live and tape-delayed play-by-play television and Internet broadcasts of UWM sporting events.
